To celebrate, we've got a little party this Friday at Sky Bar along with the lovely Nelene Deguzman. Trippin' into Spring!3/7/2019 Happy Spring! At least it is in the Old Pueblo - just had a high of 87 yesterday (!) so in our hood that means summer heat's not that far away. Wildflowers are sproinging up in the desert with a vengeance after so much winter rain this year. Look at this kaleidescopic fairy land! Picacho Peak State Park by Arizona Illustrated

Pulling together some awesome Desert psych/rock/pop compadres and arranging for some trippy ass images for an immersive experience of love, peace and OOOOOH! Jamie and I used to do nights like this in our old Venice Beach dayz with stilt walkers and bands like Golden Buddha and the Aliens that Ate Hollywood. Oh yeah and The Shivas back before most of them were even old enough to be in a club! And a VJ with three different AV booths with overlapping video streams - it was crazy man! We may not have stilt walkers on Friday but these bands will stilt walk all over your MIND! And at a great club like 191 Toole it's all for $5. Back at the lab...10/4/2018 We just had a couple of great shows and now there's a bit of a backlog of new songs to record until we play again. So here's a lil tour of the place where the magic happens... In a cave deep under the rocky caliche of Tucson, an orange glow emanates from the laboratory where Silver Cloud Express songs are brought to life. The Magician's table - where hundreds of jams felt the first sparks of Creation. You can see here the phosphorescent glow emitted by the birth waves... Just a taste of some of the implements and devices used for the genesis. Then you bake it up with the Trinity orbs of Love, Truth and Rock... ...and there you have a new song. Lather, rinse, repeat!
Streamin' all over8/28/2018 You can now find our debut songs from the Colors EP in a whole lot more places on the interwebs and your favorite platform, app and other webby doo-hicky!
Photo by tombarta All that and a bag of chips!7/21/2018 Had a blast at CANS Deli with Still Life Telescope and OTHERS! The sound did not disappoint as sound man extraordinaire, Frank Bair, dialed in each element and worked hard through the night to make sure everyone sounded great. And they did! SLT brought the prog with some excellent guitar work and thundering drums melding tight rock songwriting with freaked up jazz time and rhythm switchups. And OTHERS were otherworldly indeed - large ranging experimental band that included dulcimers and digeridoo to offset dangerous guitars and synths. Had our dinner there in the front Deli (as their motto says "deli in the front, party in the back!") and have to say, CANS know their way around a pastrami sandwich too! Cassette Release at Flycatcher6/25/2018 Had our first audio release party as Silver Cloud Express in June - which was also one of the last shows at The Flycatcher (formerly PLUSH, both RIP). It was a helluva night with the Psychedelephants and Tropical Beach. Lots of colors, friends, great music and of course love. It was bittersweet as last time on the stage of a venue that felt like a second home since our time as The Modeens - for almost 10 years (whoa, that made me pause for a second!) So fare thee well all the great folks at PLUSH/Flycatcher - the memories will surely stick around.
